
Avet Mirakyan
Avet Mirakyan, a Russian-Armenian businessman, is the founder and CEO of the Insight Investment Group. He also has business interests in Armenia, focusing on financial services, IT, and winemaking.
Avet Mirakyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia. He completed his degree in International Economic Relations in Yerevan State University in 1996. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the U.S., holds a Russian audit certificate, and possesses Type 1 and Type 5 certificates from the Federal Financial Markets Service.
At the onset of his career, Avet was employed at the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, working in the Monetary Policy Department and Banking Supervision Department.
In 1997, he relocated to Moscow and pursued his postgraduate studies at the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA). Between 1998 and 2007, he was employed at the audit firms Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young. During 2008-2009, he held the position of Senior Vice President, CFO at BNP Paribas (CIB, Russia), and also worked as CFO at B&N Bank. From 2010 to 2015, Avet was a Partner and Head of Transaction Advisory Services for CIS financial markets at Ernst & Young. He led SAFMAR Group (later SFI Investment Holdings) from August 2017 to July 2022.
Since July 2022, he has been working as the CEO of Insight, a private investment company.
